Reflective insulation

‘INSUreflector’ is a radiant heat reflective insulation material made of polyethylene air bubble film (ABF) laminated with aluminum foil on one or both sides. It is a low e-reflective insulation material with a low mass to air ratio, which effectively blocks the radiant heat transfer. The bright surface of the Aluminium foil, which encases the FR polyethylene air bubble film material, reflects 96% to 99% infra-red radiation received by the surface of the heated slated roof. The placement of radiant heat barrier shall be in the manner to provide an air space below the roofing sheets or the vertical cladding for its effective utilization. ‘INSUreflector’ is a superior alternative to fibrous Glass Wool insulation material.

lnsushield with aluminium foil facing on both sides, is an excellent radiant and effective vapour barrier. The upper surface of the foil blocks infrared energy transfer from the roof, which gathers most of the solar heat, This results in improved working environment within the premises. Unlike mass/fibrous insulation, which absorb the heat and later release the same into the premises.

ln cold weather, the reverse would happen, i.e. the inner aluminium foil surface stops the heat within the premises from escaping, hence stabilizing indoor conditions. lnsushield application under the roofing sheet, serves as a secondary water proof barrier, allowing any accidental water leakage / vapour turning to water droplets to flow along the slope to the gutter at the eave end.
